Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept the following credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover. Payment is taken immediately once you have complete checkout. We also accept payment by PayPal, Shop Pay, Google Pay, or Amazon Pay. If you decide to use either of these two methods, you’ll be taken to whichever payment method's website, where you’ll be prompted to log in and process your payment. You’ll then be directed back to our merchant website once your transaction is complete.

Ordering and delivery

Can I place an order without creating an account?

Yes. You can place an order as a guest with no obligation to create an account. We do recommend that you create an account, however, if you’d like to check your order history and have your shopping basket items and payment details saved for next time. It’s quick and easy to create an account. 

Where is my order confirmation?

This is automatically sent to your email address when you place an order. If you haven’t received your order confirmation within 24 hours, please get in touch at hello@meejyhandmade.com just in case there’s a problem with your order. Please check your mailbox’s spam or junk folder before contacting in case the order confirmation has been diverted there.

Why has my order been canceled?

We typically only cancel orders if there’s a problem with stock, or if you’ve asked us to cancel. Please accept our apologies if your order is canceled because of a problem at our end. We’ll always offer an alternative product and process your refund in full, as quickly as possible.

How do I cancel my order?

There is only a short amount of time between when you place your order and when we start processing it. Please email within 24 hours after ordering:  hello@meejyhandmade.com. We will be able to cancel your order before it’s processed. Requests made after 24 hours are not guaranteed.

Can I alter my order?

Sadly, we’re unable to modify your order once we’ve started processing it.  You're more than welcome to cancel your order with 24 hours and place a new order. If you need to order a greater quantity or an additional product, please place a new order online. We will do our best to combine shipping when possible. hello@meejyhandmade.com

When will my order arrive?

Orders are ready to ship unless otherwise specified in the listing (this would be the case for pre-orders).  Please allow 3 to 5 business days for order processing.  Items are shipped Priority Mail with USPS with a timeframe of 1-3 days. While this is a quick and efficient way of shipping, I cannot guarantee delivery times. Once a package has been accepted by USPS, it is out of my control.  If you are in need of something within a specific timeline, please do not hesitate to reach out!

What countries do you ship to?

As I am based in Vermont, I currently only ship throughout the United States.  I hope to offer international shipping in the future.

How much is shipping?

Our standard shipping rate is $5.  If you need rush shipping, please reach outto hello@meejyhandmade.com. Orders of $50 and more earn free shipping.

Can I track my order?

Yes. We’ll provide updates at every stage of your order, from the moment you place it, through dispatch and delivery. In your delivery confirmation emails, you’ll receive a tracking reference which you can use to check the progress of your order online.  If there are any questions and concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to hello@meejyhandmade.com

Returns

Can I return or exchange an item?

I accept returns on items as long as it’s undamaged, unused and contained in its original packaging with all tags and labels attached. Unfortunately, we don’t offer exchanges.  You must contact me within 7 days of your delivery date and you have a total of 14 days to have the item shipped back after you have let us know. A full refund or store credit will be issued once the items are received pending condition.  There are no refunds on gift card purchases.  Sometimes things can happen to your goodies that are out of your control (like damage during transit).  Do not hesitate to reach out so we can come up with a solution together. 

How do I return an item?

Please contact our customer service team via hello@meejyhandmade. Provided the return request is made within 7 days after your delivery date and meets our return criteria, we will issue you with a return label by email. You need to print this off and attach it to the packaging of the product when returning it to us. You will need to arrange and pay for suitable packaging when returning an item.

My order has arrived but it’s not as I expected. What can I do?

In the rare event that your order arrives damaged or faulty, please take photos of the product in question and email our customer service team via hello@meejyhandmace.com with the details. We’ll respond within 48 hours. If you just don’t like the product for any reason, we’ll gladly accept it back as a return, providing it’s in new condition and in its original packaging with all labels attached.  You must email us within 7 days from your delivery date.

Materials

What is polymer clay?

Polymer clay is a man-made, flexible clay made from polymer polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It is cured in the oven by baking where its malleable form becomes durable and water-resistant. Items made from polymer clay are very lightweight, making it the perfect medium for jewelry such as earrings.

Is polymer clay sustainable?

Polymer clay is essentially plastic. Because of the footprint plastics leave behind on our environment, Meejy Handmade practices mindful making.  Each piece is slow-made with intent.  This means designs and colorways are planned before diving into the clay.  Meejy Handmade focuses on handcrafting quality, long-lasting items over mass-produced junk, and also utilizes techniques that reduce waste down to zero.

Are your metals nickel free?

I currently use stainless steel, gold-plated, and enamel-coated findings. You will see jewelry listed all over the internet as being hypo-allergenic. The truth is stainless steel (even surgical) still contains small amounts of nickel. While I can say that many with nickel allergies have worn these findings just fine, I cannot 100% guarantee zero reactions if you have sensitive ears.

Misc

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes, we do. These are issued electronically by email and each contains a unique reference number.  Gift cards are available in an array of denominations and do not expire.  Please note that gift cards are non-refundable.

Do you do custom orders?

Unfortunately, I am not taking custom orders at this time.

Do you offer wholesale orders?

Unfortunately, I am not currently offering wholesale orders.
